The Nostalgia that you feel, getting invested in these characters and watching a show basically being amazing because of 4 like 14 year olds, is a true tv gift! WATCH THIS.!!!!

#2 The Get Down

GENRE: Urban Tv Drama

SYNOPSIS: In 1977 New York City, the talented and soulful youth of the South Bronx chase dreams and breakneck beats to transform music history.

MY THOUGHTS: Another excellent Period piece executed by Netflix. The smallest details are carefully prepped, the music brings you in and the story line keeps you coming back for more. Another cast that you quickly become invested in and root for. This musical-esque drama gives you WAY more than just some cheesy musical-dancing-in-the-street vibes! The late 70's would have been proud!

#3 NARCOS

MY THOUGHTS: This one I'm still warming up to but when I watched a movie about Pablo Escobar and I enjoyed it so I figure I will like the series! Plus I watched the first episode and I enjoyed that, I just need to finish it!

#5 The Killing

GENRE: Crime/Mystery/Drama Tv

SYNOPSIS: Seattle homicide detectives Sarah Linden and Stephen Holder are deeply affected by the murders they investigate in the dark, acclaimed crime series.

MY THOUGHTS: As a crime show lover, this is an intense one! It gives you a little of everything, intensity, a torrid love affair that never actually takes off, a back story that is just as good as the main story! It is a crime thriller lovers dream!

#6 Orange Is The New Black

GENRE: Tv Comedy/Drama. Dramadies

SYNOPSIS: Sentenced to fifteen months for a crime committed in her youth, Piper Chapman leaves her supportive fiance Larry for her new home: women's prison.

MY THOUGHTS: Well, in the beginning, I loved it. I thought it was a creative take to a show. Then season two happened, and I was WAY disappointed. So I started with other shows and then my curiosity peaked when season 3 came out and I'm in love again, I think there is a lot to look forward too, so give it a chance! Hopefully season 4 gives s what we want!

#7 The Ranch

GENRE: Tv Sitcom /Comedy

SYNOPSIS: When Colt Bennett returns home from Canada to try out for for a semi pro Denver team, he learns that his family ranch has fallen on hard times.

MY THOUGHTS: It's not the best, I honestly gave it three smilies because one Hyde and Kelso are reunited as brothers. And there Dad is the DUDE!!!! Like Best cast, it's mildly funny and yeah...it's probably really good background noise with the odd chuckle. I think the love triangle is a little lame but yeah.

#8 Beasts Of A Nation

GENRE: Drama. Drama Based on a Book

SYNOPSIS: When Civil war tears his family apart, a young West African boy is forced to join a unit of mercenary fighters and transform into a child soldier.

MY THOUGHTS: It is an intense film from the very beginning. If narratives about child soldiers upsets you, this film, I'd say watch with caution. It is moving, sad, upsetting, and dramatic. This film really takes you into the way a child soldier is forced to become a man long before he is prepared for. Having such intense responsibilities/requirements thrust upon them, watch them struggle with their new roles. Watch this if you want something that will make you think long after the credits finish rolling. And Idris, he is another reason to give this netflix original film a chance!

#9 Making A Murderer

GENRE: TV Crime Documentary

SYNOPSIS: Filmed over 10 years, this real life thriller follows a DNA exoneree who, while exposing the police corruption, becomes a suspect in a grisly new crime.

MY THOUGHTS: This is another crime-thriller pick. If you like crime thrillers, documentaries and real-life cases, this documentary for you. It broke out last winter but I know a lot of people gave it a harsh rating. It has it's ups and downs but overall it's extremely interesting to watch a real life tale of a series of curious events that take place and change the lives of so many in the process. And I am on the accused side, just to be clear! I think he's being taken advantage of because of his lack of education!

#10 Amanda Knox

GENRE: Tv Crime Documentary

SYNOPSIS: She was twice convicted and acquitted of murder. Amanda Knox and the people closest to her case speak out in this illuminating documentary.

MY THOUGHTS: If you did not follow along during the Amanda knox trial and you want to know more, this is the documentary to watch. If you did follow along but you still want MORE details and takes on different perspectives, this is the documentary to watch. If you made your mind up about her but are curious what others are saying about her, this is the documentary to watch!

#11 13th

GENRE: Social & Cultural Documentary

SYNOPSIS: In this thought provoking documentary, scholars, activists, and politicians analyze the criminalization of African Americans and the U.S prison boom.

MY THOUGHTS: During a time where the talk of race, race relations and the U.S policing & prison system is at an all time high, this documentary will help you think more deeply on the subject. Thinking that race is as simple as black or white, good and bad, is an UNFINISHED thought, give this documentary a go and think more. Think more.

#12 Last Chance U

GENRE: Docu-series. Tv Documentary

SYNOPSIS: In a docuseries set at one of NCAA footballer's most fertile recruiting grounds, guys with red flags seek to prove their worth on the field and in class.

MY THOUGHTS: If you are a football/sport lover, this is an interesting docu-series to watch because it shows you that as a young athlete coming up, academics is not always swept under the rug! It is important for kids to see that even if you think you missed your big break, there's a place for those who are looking for their Last Chance!

#13 FEARLESS

GENRE:  Tv Documentary/ Docu-Series

SYNOPSIS: On a journey from Brazil to Las Vegas championships, profession bull riders risk it all to earn money, respect and titles.

MY THOUGHTS: Ever watched ANYTHING on bull riding and the competitions and rise from beginning to Las Vegas champion? Me Either!! So if you're even mildly interested in this topic, watch this. I oddly become transfixed with this docu-series lol and it was definitely an interesting binge watch. You can put it on as background noise, but you might just be surprised that you get pulled in!

#14 Tallulah

GENRE: Independent Drama

SYNOPSIS: While searching for her ex-boyfriend, a young drifter impulsively kidnaps a baby from a neglectful mother and pretends the child is her own

MY THOUGHTS: Totally unique. Worth it. You relate to Ellen page's decision and you feel for the baby. Interesting interactions that follow make this movie! Watch it, I can't imagine it wouldn't pull you in!

#15 Tony Robbins: I AM NOT YOUR GURU

GENRE: Documentary

SYNOPSIS: Tony Robbins' clients swear by his unorthodox life coaching methods. A revealing film goes behind the curtain at his annual mega-event.

MY THOUGHTS: This one is another one on my to watch list...but I listed it because it's freaking TONY ROBBINS!!! One of the best in motivation speaking, life coaching and more. Going through a hard/confusing/transitional period, Tony Robbins can always help put things in perspective!

#16 SCREAM: The Series

GENRE: Halloween Favorites Tv Shows. Affiliated with MTV & Netflix

SYNOPSIS: In this new TV series sequel to the classic horror franchise, a cyber bully incident in Lakewood leads to a murder with chilling echoes of the past

MY THOUGHTS: If you liked the Scream movie series, you'll like this modern take on the series in the form of a tv series! Going into season 4 I have to say I'm excited to see where it goes next. I am a horror/scary movie lover so to see this successful series take off, I'm a fan, try out Season ONE at least, and see if you like it!
