Quarantine Made Me Do It: Doing my nails at Home: Items bought & collection - part 1

Quarantine Made Me Do IT_.jpg

HI Babes! It’s been a WEIRD 2020….with moving right before the pandemic, COVID-19 changing the way our ‘normal’ looks, to looking for new ways to stay cute while socially distancing, I finally decided to get BACK into doing my own nails! So I’m sharing all the NEW & EXCITING things I’ve purchased during quarantine to start doing my own nails again! This is PART 1 or a 3 or 4 part series.

So scroll down and get down into it!

Ok so a quick back story, the reason I started blogging a long time ago was because I have so many different things I love and am known for. For many many years, I was known for doing my OWN nails, but which my job change and then going to Mexico last year, I started just paying to have my nails done. I lost the love I had for just putting on nail polish and I didn’t keep up with the nail trends so I fell off. But with Quarantine, I’ve had LOTS OF TIME and decided to do some research, so my nail collection went from a serious nail polish collection to a nail polish and nail product collection.

So I’m sharing what I got, where I got them, my thoughts on the items and more!

“Kiss”

Nail Drill

So I bought this early on because I needed something to remove my overgrown biofuel nails.

This was bought at Walmart for $12.99 cdn

it was a necessity at the time (because at that point I believed Amazon was not delivering at ALL). I’m keeping it now for maybe the removal of Gel Nail Polish on my toes because it’s not as intense as a more expensive drill.

UV/Led Nail Lamp

So this was bought April 17th from Amazon.ca because I knew I was going to dive into polygel. I always do a lot of research and this had a lot of amazing reviews, and at that time it was the more affordable one at $39.99 cdn, it’s a little more expensive now but it is definitely worth it. it can cure polygel with no problem and gel nail polish no problem!

Nail Glitter

So this was bought April 18th from Amazon.ca and I was a little excited I guess lol I bought Holographic/Iridescent nail glitter purchased for $10.99 cdn and I used it for the first set of polygel nails I attempted lol EMPHASIS on attempted!

Polygel Nail Kit

This was the big investment made, this was the most expensive thing I purchased from Amazon.ca….at that time lol it was $79.99 cdn these items were all market up because of the surge of people buying kits to do at home, now they run between $56 - $70 and thats a bit more reasonable. This kit so far has exceeded my expectations. It is my first kit and it’s a learning curve but it had a very high rating on Amazon and with the youtube influencers!

Nail Drill

Finding this Nail Drill was a tough one, there was so many that again were on the more expensive side. This was ordered May 1 from Amazon.ca for $54.99 cdn - it was another one that had a lot of amazing reviews and once I opened it up I fell in love!

I have a video sharing my first impression of me opening the nail drill and Polygel kit as they arrived at the same time.

So this is PART 1 of my DIY Nail collection series! If you have ANY questions or comments PLEASE let me know in the comment section down below.
