Now you know I had to make sure my boss babes riding solo are keeping busy this Valentines day weekend! So I've come up with 10 Things You Can do this V-Day if you are still looking for that Prince or Princess Charming, or even if you're NOT looking for anyone and just focusing on YOUR growth (MORE POWER TO YOU!!)! So let's dive right into it!!
Now I know a lot of people aren't even bothered by Valentines day as it's totally made up and if so then you're GOOD! But there are some of us that know matter how hard we try, being single on this holiday just gets to us! So I've come up with some ideas to keep you busy, and most importantly feeling good!
1. SPOIL THYSELF:
You'll probably be working this V-Day (it's on a Tuesday) so once you're done work, head home put on your feel good, shake your booty tunes, change and have a lovely shower (add some lavender smellies, they always uplift your spirits) then maybe head out to the mall (most couples will be going to movies or out to dinner) so head to the mall and treat yourself! Buy yourself that sweater you've been eyeing, or that tv series on Blu-Ray. But SPOIL YOURSELF!
2. PAMPER THYSELF:
Tight on cash? Want to just stay in after work? Then plan a night of pampering! Get yourself some bath bombs, get your favorite, wine, (make yourself a nice dinner, the night before so you can just warm it up ;)), eat dinner and soak in the tub while you NETFLIX & CHILL BY your D*** SELF!! Or, if you've been waiting to listen to that new album, let it play while you soak! Then if you're feeling up to it, give yourself a mani- pedi, pluck some loose hairs in the eye-brows! Shave your legs...the point is, take care of yourself! Sometimes taking care of your outer appearance can be so calming! PAMPER YOURSELF!
3. ALLOW THYSELF TO LAUGH:
I don't know about you, but I'm not a big rom-com kinda gal, ESPECIALLY on V-Day so if I'm at home relaxing on V-Day, I'm looking up a comedy movie (old or new) that I KNOW is going to make me laugh! Maybe even binge watch a few Friends/Seinfield episodes or any other sit-com you know is reliable for a good laugh and settle in! Laughing releases endorphin's and thus elevates your mood!! LAUGH!!
4. GATHER THYSELVES:
A few of you and your girls are single?! GROUP DATE!!! Why not stick together and go out for dinner, or dessert and just chat with your gals! Someone people can't handle being alone so being with others who may be feeling your pain is a great idea! DO NOT bi*** about why your single...CELEBRATE IT and take the time to speak love into the universe, especially when it's so easy to be a hater! HAVE A GET TOGETHER!
5. ALLOW THYSELF TO SWEAT:
Go to the Gym! Zumba! Hot Yoga! Pole Dancing! Kickboxing Class! Spin Class! WHATEVER you're interested in and get your blood pumping and the sweat flowing! Another great way to take care of yourself outward and inward and to release endorphin's is to just pump it!! THEN go home and have a fabulous bath and enjoy your dinner, wine and Netflix! SWEAT IT UP!
6. LET THEM PAMPER YOU:
Go to a Spa! Or have someone else do your mani-pedi! Not everyone can do or enjoy an at home pamper session like I can so If your funds can afford it, LET OTHERS take care of your! There's something just as satisfying about coming home after being pampered that's calming and relaxing, then if you don't feel comfortable going out to dinner on your own, go to your favorite restaurant that does take out and bring home your favorite dish! LET THEM!
7. BE BOLD:
Ever gotten all dolled up, and walked into a restaurant and sat down at a table, for ONE and enjoyed a meal by YOURSELF! I think it takes HUGE CONFIDENT lady-balls to do that! You'd definitely turn heads and all those women in a relationship will be staring at you!
8. EXPERIMENT WITH THY MEALS:
Been thinking about trying a new dish?! Go to the grocery, buy your ingredients , head home, turn up your feel good, booty shaking tunes, get your recipe and get cooking! Or If you want to indulge you can do that too, Try out a cookie recipe or one of those creative ones you've seen on Facebook or Pinterest! WHOSE JUDGING?! COOK IT UP!
9. FLUFFY-FY THYSELF:
Ever thought about getting a pet?! ...Ok I'm not telling your to go and BUY one lol that's a HUGE commitment and NEVER should be an impulsive buy, but why not go see and pet some adorable puppies, kitties and more! Animals are also known to help release feel-good endorphin's! So, why not! Go do some scouting if you ARE really considering getting a pet this will help you do your research! PET THEM!
10. WALK-IT OUT:
If you live in a warm climate (then I'm JEALOUS!!) go for walk, reflect on YOU! YOUR path, YOUR goals, YOUR dreams, YOUR feelings/energy! Enjoying the weather always helps clear your mind. You can even take it up a notch and go for a bike ride, roller blade, just get outside and let the Vitamin D do it's job! SOAK UP THE VITAMIN D!
+ 11. DO IT THYSELF:
Been thinking about that DIY project you've wanted to get done!? DO IT! Keeping your mind busy, focusing on accomplishing something and watching something you've created appear before your eyes, that's ALWAYS rewarding! DIY IT UP!
