Outfit of the day: What I wore to an Evening Wedding + Outfit details!
I don't know about you, but I went to a LOT of wedding's this summer. I know I'm at that age where this is happening. So, I simply, HAD to make sure each wedding was an equally cute outfit....and I'm proud to say I accomplished that! I didn't want to spend a lot ad all summer I was doing well at not spending a lot on these outfits! This particular outfit cost me about $56+ CAD ...and I don't know about you, but I WAS SO PLEASED!!!!
I Had the jewelry from the second wedding I went to and I recycled that! Accessories are easy to recycle!
The dress was $39.99 CAD at Sirens
(however I knew they were having a one day 40% off sale so I got it for $27CAD AFTER taxes)
Now after wearing ALL heels to the other 3 weddings and being in a lot of pain (due to my knee problem) I insisted on wearing flats. I had to figure out how to do it in such a way that didn't make the outfit look tacky. So, I bought these ballerina tied up flats to go with my fairy like look
Flats $17.99 CAD at Ardene (this link is not my exact pair but close in style)
(I saw some at Spring and Aldo's but didn't feel like spending that much, especially as the summer is almost over!)
When wanting to pair flats with an outfit, think of where you're going, the other pieces added that may help pull attention away from your feet, unless you want your focal point to be your flashy flats. The color and flow of my dress took all the attention away from my feet! If my dress was shorter, and more fitted (bodycon style) my shoes might have stood out more.
The outfit overall came together just as I had hoped!!
Here are a few shots I took at the venue, which I talk about right HERE!
